Article indebuurt.nl

I was happy to be featured in 'In de Buurt', in an article about how I turn discarded denim jeans into art, my collaboration with second hand store 'Kraayenest' and my solo exhibition in Utrecht.

SOLO exhibition Utrecht

My solo exhibition 'Beyond Blue Jeans' opened on 11 September at Keekollectief on the Twijnstraat in Utrecht, and it runs until 4 December.

The exhibition is a playground of small works, each one asking its own "what if...?" question. What if the hardware of denim jeans becomes the pattern? What if the patches take the lead?

Come by for a coffee and see the artworks in person.

Represented by Art[s] Gallery

Since summer 2026, I am represented by ART[s] Gallery. In October, seven of my works were shown in my first group exhibition with the gallery in Bathmen.

Working with discarded denim, I fold, gill and take apart worn fabric until it becomes something new. It was a joy to see these pieces in a new (and incredible!) space and meet the people who came to see them.

VTwonen weer verliefd op je huis

On the 5th episode of season 24 of 'VTwonen, weer verliefd op je huis' two of my artworks were featured in a home make-over. These works were commissioned by the stylist. The process entailed carefully selecting abandoned denim that matched the interior stylist's moodboard and aligning the works with the preferences of the homeowners.
